HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu firefighters extinguished a blaze at a popular restaurant in Waikiki on Sunday night.
The Honolulu Fire Department said 10 units staffed with nearly 40 personnel responded to the two-alarm blaze.
It started around 8:30 p.m. at Giovanni Pastrami on Lewers Street.
Witnesses reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the ground floor restaurant of a residential highrise building.
It took crews about 15 minutes to fully put it out.
No injuries were reported.
HFD is investigating the cause as well as damage estimates.
